About the Meaning Centred Design Awards
The Meaning Centred Design Awards is an initiative set-up by Recipe Design Ltd. to provide design students with opportunity for interaction with industry professionals and a means for talent to be recognised and celebrated.
It is also intended to raise awareness of and encourage conversation around Meaning Centred Design as a methodology and approach to design practice.
Submitting an entry to the Meaning Centred Design Awards
When submitting an entry to the Meaning Centred Design Awards, entrants – (‘you’) – will be asked to provide us with your personal details.
You will be asked for your full name, your contact email address and information about your academic studies (including University/Institution name, qualification title, stage of study and expected or actual year of graduation).
We require this information to ensure you can be contacted with updates about your submission and to validate that your entry meets the submission criteria for the awards.
Your personal information and submission files will be stored securely and accessed by a select team of Recipe employees whose role it is to oversee the Meaning Centred Design Awards initiative.
Once the entries have been judged, the winner(s) will be notified by email. We may contact any entrant (including, but not limited to, the winners) to ask for additional details pertaining to their submission, including requesting further explanation or supporting materials.
As per the Terms & Conditions, we may also unreservedly share the materials submitted by the entrant (or materials supplied thereafter), to the respective social media channels and websites of Meaning Centred Design Awards and Recipe, in addition to any parallel PR activity. This is to promote the Meaning Centred Design Awards and to celebrate the efforts of the entrants and/or winner(s).
Entrants will be notified by email before their submission content is shared publicly. Public sharing of content will include the entrant’s name, their University/Institution and details of their submission.
Recipe may contact you in future with regard to initiatives or opportunities that may be of interest to you. This may include Meaning Centred Design campaigns that contain further learning and development programmes, calls for participation in future events or employment opportunities.
If you no longer wish to receive communications from Recipe regarding the Meaning Centred Design Awards or other initiatives or opportunities which may be of interest to you, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you no longer wish for your submission, or materials supplied by you thereafter, to be shared in the public domain, please contact email@example.com.
Being invited to be a judge for the Meaning Centred Design Awards
Recipe will contact prospective judges and invite them to take part in the Meaning Centred Design Awards via telephone, email or social media (such as LinkedIn Inmail). Contact details for prospective judges will have been sought through public means, or be already known to members of the Recipe team.
If you do not wish to receive communications from Recipe Design regarding the Meaning Centred Design Awards, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your rights as a Data Subject
Anyone whose data Recipe holds (data subjects) has the right to know about any and all of the data Recipe holds about them. You can request this information by emailing email@example.com.
